With 1300 islands with beautiful caves, Thac Ba lake has earned herself the name “Inland Ha long bay”. Thac Ba is among the three greatest lakes in Vietnam with a length of 80km. This is where the first Hydroelectric power plant, the result of a collaboration between Vietnam and the Soviet union, located. Thac Ba is currently the earning source of many ethnic groups’ people, like the Tay, the red Dao, who live on fish farming and shrimp net container making. It also helps clean the air in the surrounding area thanks to the water and the plants around.

Help build the facilities – A practical activity. Activities like clearing the environment, helping build roads, electricity stations, schools for the red Dao in the village of Dong Ty so that they can raise their living standard and develop local community tourism.
Public relation – bring Thac Ba’s image to the public. The public relation team members are like “city hunters”, chasing the beauty that lies within the small village. Through images and video clips published on social media, people get to know more about the beauty of Thac Ba and the mission of VEO
Gala night – Exchange the culture and taste the flavor of red Dao’s arts. Gala night is the time for volunteers to unleash their wildness and savor Dao’s culture.
Join and expand the V.E.O’s volunteer network and receive VEO’s international volunteer certificate. Cooperate with volunteers from diverse backgrounds, work as a team and reunite in the reunion night, where certificates are handed to the volunteers on a sparkling stage.
The secret of Cao Bien – Cao Bien, the proud mountain that faces the legendary lake of Thac Ba, has long been notorious for many of its mysterious folktales.
The historical site of O Do Waterfall. The beautiful crystal clear water that flows beneath the rocks carries its thousand year story of how villages were built and what they have been though.
The journey across thousands of islands on boat. It is a must on a Thac Ba trip to float on the water, across thousands of isles, inhale the plants moisture and watch the sun go down, all resemble a bright magnificent jade.
Try making red Dao’s traditional shrimp containers. Making shrimp containers has been tied to the daily routine of the red Yao from the village of Dong Ty. It has become part of the culture as it contributes to the local income.

6:00am – 6:30am: Gather at 17 Ta Quang Buu street, Hanoi
6:30am – 11:00am: Depart to Thac Ba.
11:00am – 01:30pm: Have lunch and prepare for the Afternoon Activities.
1:00pm – 2:00pm: Gather at the Village’s chief in order to prepare for the tasks.
2:00pm – 5:00pm: Assigned groups will executive their tasks:
Marketing group take charge of taking photos, videos of Thac Ba.
– Teaching group moves to the primary school to teach English, soft skills and environmental protection for the children.
– Logistic group will guide and help the homestay to decor and rearrange the infrastructure so as to attract the tourists.
– Program group will prepare for the Gala night including cultural exchange with the local, rehearse for the night program.
5:00pm – 7:30pm: Rest, dinner, take shower.
7:30pm – 10:00pm: Gala night, teambuilding, campfire, dancing…
10:30pm: Sleeps at the homestay.
6:30am– 7:00am: Wake up, personal hygiene and have breakfast.
7:00am – 11:00am: Visit the majestic O Do waterfall. Excursions on Thac Ba Great, explore mysterious desert island. Fun team building activities and attractions.
11:00am – 1:00pm: Lunch, take a rest, prepare to leave.
1:00pm – 5:30pm: Depart back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi, end of journey.
