Coi village in the middle of the Xuan Son national park, wild and poor. Next to Ban Coi with houses made of palm trees are Ban Lap with poinsettia flowers covering the roads. The Dao and the Muong live together harmoniously within the two villages, although there are differences between their cultures, which can be seen in the type of accessories they wear. Cross cultural marriages are not allowed according to their customs, but they support each other’s life since there are only 2 villages in the middle of the jungle. The most beautiful feature of Coi village is perhaps hundreds of streams of crystal clear water embracing the whole village, then unnamed caves with floors resembling ocean waves. With its simple yet breathtaking beauty, Coi village is a world of strange serenity that city dwellers too often seek. After more than a year of implementing the project, with the great help from the volunteers, V.E.O has step-by- step completed our project through improving communication skill, develop traveling experience as well as marketing Dao ethnic custom and improving the local facility in order to take full advantage of the tourism potential in this wonderful land.
